Sometimes psychology involves more than therapy.
With a background in forensic psychology I provide assessment and evaluation services to attorneys, parents, and individuals. Whether you are preparing for a court trial or need special services for your child, psychological evaluations are sometimes necessary to bring about the results you need.
I utilize the latest versions of psychometric testing and provide thorough interviews and testing to ensure that the evaluation meets the needs you are looking for.
As a psychotherapist I work with adults and children in a safe, empathic, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment in Irvine, California. I have a Level 1 eCertification in Trauma in addition to a doctorate in Clinical and Forensic Psychology. I am a licensed psychologist with the state of California and have experience in forensic and clinical settings.
I currently work with children and adults in Irvine, California near the surrounding areas of Newport Beach, Tustin, Laguna Beach, California. With children (including those on the Autism Spectrum and Gifted) I use play and relational therapy techniques to help them express themselves with more than words; with adults I strive to help clients develop methods of healthy coping and better understanding of self by providing a safe environment to facilitate transition. Additionally I use mindfulness practices, including meditation and visualization, to help children and adults navigate the difficult states of attention deficit, anxiety, and depression. My therapy practice is designed to provide a safe and therapeutic relationship so my clients do not have to struggle on their own. In the words of Dr. Irvin Yalom, I am a "fellow traveler" on this journey.
